Oh, crap. That splash alone is inspiring. Maybe we shouldn't screw it up with a whole website and forums?!
Obviously, the Barz and I have taken a couple of steps now in moving back towards our goal. AoC continues to get good pre-game attention, there's a good multi-guild RP community already following things, and I'm confident we can get ourselves drummed back up in a frenzy by next March.
The next few steps will be slow, but I think you'll like them. I'm in the middle of spec'ing out a community site for Barz to build, and expect we'll see something in a month or two. We've registered the domain maharakht.com and will be moving forward with that as the name of the community (it was the most popular of the results when we took the vote-that-was-not-a-vote).
After a lot of thought, and several experiences, I think Barz and I are going to take the next few community steps on our own, based on a lot of the discussions from a year ago. We could continue to open things up for democratic vote, but the more we've tried that here the more it seems we wear ourselves out with process, and have no juice leftover for the challenge of RP.
So, feel free to post thoughts and opinions. Frequently, Barz and I will ask your opinions, and we'll definitely want to hear your requests and feedback once we start to take more tangible shape. But, in the end, if we think something's cool, we're going to run with it. I think as leaders, we'll serve the community best when we're completely infatuated by what we're doing.
