The tactical combat, both avatar and ship related, are strengths in my opinion. The problem I'm having is with the pace of the strategic game. It totally dominates every other facet of PoTBS. In fact, I'm getting pretty burned out. Currently taking a break.
I've loaded up Baldur's Gate II, very belatedly, and I'm going to veg out in PvE goodness for a while before deciding whether to head back and see if things have mellowed out a bit, shift back to SWG (where my PA is somehow still going strong without me) or just do something entirely different.
Edit: And speaking of doing fine I got an email that they've started their own site up. I'm not around and they're doing gangbusters. Huh. Anyhow, old timers who might remember "Stag Night" will remember the Ikopi Stag. Here's what the new crew can do:

Ok redid my character as Alvaro Mora an NO. Also got a few alts trying out the different classes and my pirate on a different server.

I'm putting an indefinite halt to my POTBS playing days.
One reason is that while I do LIKE the game, it's kind of hard for me to "get in to" for some reason - it's just not holding me. As a result, when I've had time to play games, I find myself playing something other than POTBS. If I'm paying for a game, but not playing it, I don't see the logic in continuing to pay for it.
The other reason is that I've found a good AoC guild and will be playing that game in May. I plan to give that game a serious look and doubt my POTBS playing would increase in any way.
That said, I'm not giving up on the prospect of going back to the game at some point. But for now, I'm putting it down.
