So, after some delay, I finally purchased LOTRO last night, and will be giving it a shot for a month or two.
Currently, I'm the human minstrel Jalthri of Dale-Landroval (apparently, playing open beta under Jythri was enough to lock out the name, but since I didn't pre-order, I couldn't pull the name into the game. *sigh*)
My playing (as usual) will likely be sporadic, but if you pass a bard with a harp who's cursing at pressing 7 instead of Y, then you've found me.

Pretty sure Inkling's is spelled Devlyn, which for a while had me confused because it's so close to Davyn.
Yeah, I'm not logged in right now. Had to quit because I got too consumed in the game. Now I'm too consumed in CoH, so I'll have to quit that soon, but with the new stuff coming out in i12, that's going to be hard.
I've been tinkering with the idea of a hardcore RP group of Eriadorian cartographers whose main impetus is the exploration and the finding and the recording, with the killing and self-defense and treasure as a side effect. And every week, we meet somewhere new with directions given out as actual directions ("turn north at the red tree" instead of map coordinates) . And there, we tell tales, defend ourselves if it's not a peaceful locale (though it's better if it is), and have nice RP like we used to at Bothan Beats.
But I've got to focus my energy on getting some work right now, so the Eriadorian Cartography Company is yet unborn.
