I'm still in Khanid. But I suspect, and have floated the notion, that Zan will end up crossing some of the wrong people in The Kingdom and get himself exiled. He'll float around off camera until he ends up with whatever it is ya'll invent.
This means I'll need to probably grind up some faction with Gallente and Minmatar so they don't blows me up if we end up being based out of one of those nations. If I know Jythri, he'll put together some kind of concept that will allow all sorts to be part of it just because that makes it both easier to recruit and to build alliances.

So I'm sifting through the official RP forums now and finally hit a thread that's not the usual sort of thing (the "usual sort of thing" being the IC chestpounding and rhetoric tossed between factions and it seems to be the same stuff year in and year out).
Here's some RP around what it means to be a capsuleer (or pod pilot) and a conclusion, and project, a few characters are rallying around. I don't think Zan thinks in these terms himself, and likely wouldn't even bother to opine on the subject - he's a tough and stoic fellow who, while prone to introspection isn't anywhere near as chatty or debate minded as his player. But I enjoyed this thread. A little something different.

Right now, I'm running with the idea that we're all Wookies translocated from the Star Wars Galaxies. I'm setting up a new forum system where the community will be encouraged to write a very involved transition story, where we'll explain how we were captured by a Goonswarm-allied Imperial cruiser who used us for genetic experiments.

Ok, I just resubscribed. Not much time to play tonight, but I'll be poking around a bit. It's going to take a while just to relearn the UI. The name's Kavan Rix. Looks like most of my stuff is in Rens at the moment. I have ~2.2 million skill points, but 72% of that is in learning skills.
If anyone is interested in starting up that doesn't have an existing account, there's buddy system that can get both the new and old player a bit of free time:

The Conditions

Accounts paid with PayByCash are not eligible for the Wingman offer

Tychus, make sure you move that collection of links you linked to over to the new site. That's pretty invaluable stuff.
Been a long time since I've posted here, but I've been following the topics like a good lurker. If you guys decide to go through with this stuff on Eve, I think I'd like to join in (once my schoolyear's done - college here has a proxy that I don't feel like breaking through to play MMORPGs). I mean, if you'll accept my service, haha.
My RPing is going to be really rusty (like it was any good in SWG ), but I really liked the idea of Eve Online anyway, and I want to really try to make a character with a more complete backstory & personality this time.
Just offering a little bit more manpower, I guess. I'll try & learn as much as I can concerning EVE for a month or so... I'm done with my semester on the 14th of May.
